President John Dramani Mahama has said effective collaboration between his government and the governed in the country has resulted in the massive achievements in terms of infrastructural development, a situation which seemed impossible a few years ago.
According to him, his dedication to social development including the provision of potable water, educational infrastructure, roads, and energy in the country remains as strong as ever.
Mr Mahama last week ended his Accounting to the People tour in the Upper East and Northern regions. The purpose of the tour was to inspect and inaugurate ongoing and completed projects as well as cut sod for new projects to commence.
In a Facebook post, Mr Mahama on Saturday July 17 said: “The Upper East and Northern Regions concluded my Accounting to the People Tour. Just like the other regions, I saw a new Ghana burgeoning – water projects, educational infrastructure, roads, new communities connected to the power grid, health facilities, and the vibrant spirit of the people.
“Together, we have achieved many great things, some of which seemed impossible four years ago. For example, work has started on the Bolgatanga-Bawku road, just as we delivered the Sawla-Fufulso Road. Let me assure you that my dedication to social development remains as strong as ever.”
