MR JOHN BOADU MUST CLEAR THE CONTROVERSIES SURROUNDING MANHYIA NORTH ELECTIONS.

3rd April 2016

As the Ashanti Regional Secretary to the NPP, I received a letter dated on Thursday 31st March 2016 from the office of the Acting General Secretary of our party, Mr John Boadu detailing the decisions National Executive Committee (NEC) has agreed on, with respect to the Manhyia North Parliamentary Primaries. I must state that, it was no different from the Press Release which went viral on most social media and mainstream media on Wednesday, 30th April 2016.

To my surprise, I saw another purported disclaimer to the press release duly signed by Mr John Boadu . This Disclaimer statement had no portfolio under the name of our Acting General Secretary. It is imperative to note that, when such things happen, it gives room for chaos and confusion.

The letter I received from Mr John Boadu indicated among others that, ” our flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has ordered for a fresh elections for Polling station executives in Manhyia North for a fresh compilation of the constituency album before the election of the parliamentary candidate for that respective constituency. You are to strictly discuss this with your regional chairman and Head of your region’s Disciplinary committee, Dr Amoako Tuffour to set a suitable date for this exercise as soon as possible.”

Now, we are in a state of dilemma, not knowing whether the said letter which reflects yesterday’s press release is a truism or otherwise.

I write this to seek proper clarification from the Acting General Secretary of our party.

Thank you

Signed
……….
Sam Pyne
NPP Ashanti Regional Secretary
