MP for Bolgatanga East constituency, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine
The MP for Bolgatanga East constituency, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, on Sunday, took the lead to launch his campaign for the December 07 Parliamentary elections in Zuarungu in the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East region.

The MP who is also the Deputy Attorney General becomes the first parliamentary candidate in the region to launch his campaign.

Some distinguished personalities including the Minister for Agric, Alhaji Limuna Muniru, Deputy Interior Minister and MP for Builsa North, James Agalga, the Upper East Regional Minister, Albert Abongo, NDC Parliamentary aspirants and municipal and district chief executives were all present at the launch to offer their support to the MP.

Addressing hundreds of NDC supporters and party executives from constituency and regional levels, Dr. Ayine said considering his proven track record, he is confident of a massive victory come December 07.

He said the welfare of his constituents is of priority to him and that was why he made sure development brought to the area was phenomenal and geared towards enhancing the wellbeing of the people.

The MP promised to bring more development to the doorsteps of the people and therefore asked them to retain him in parliament to enable him continue the good work.

He mentioned the upgrading of Zuarungu market, construction of modern community library, construction of CHPs compound, improvement in water supply, building of school blocks in Gambibgo, Nyokoko, Dubila and Kumbosco as some phenomenal development he has pursued and said they were all meant to improve the living standards of the constituents.

Dr. Ayine said President Mahama deserves a second chance in power and therefore encouraged the people canvass votes for him and the president.

The Upper East Regional Minster, Albert Abongo, who officially launched the campaign, said it is obvious President Mahama will win the December polls hands down considering the numerous developments in the country.

He mentioned the Bolga-Bawku road currently under construction, the determination to cover over 95 percent of rural electrification to Northern Ghana by the end of the year and the construction of dams as some major projects currently on going in the region.

Mr. Abongo called on the people particularly Agenda 15-15 Taskforce in the region championed by Mahama ladies, to embark on a massive house to house campaign to canvass votes for the president as well as all the 15 NDC parliamentary candidates in the region.

Mr. Abongo however called on party executives and supporters to settle internal conflicts that may arise and unite for a common course.

The event saw the outdooring of a 13 member campaign team including the MP, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine.

They were charged to campaign massively for victory in the upcoming polls.
