Mortal remains of late manager of Amakye Dede returned to Cape Coast

The mortal remains of Isaac Yeboah, former manager of highlife musician Amakye Dede has been transferred to Cape Coast in the Central Region for burial.

Isaac Kwesi Mensah, brother of the deceased disclosed this in an interview with Hitz FM.

He explained that the body was moved from Kyebi Hospital in the Eastern to University of Cape Coast Medical School Mortuary in Cape Coast, Central Region Tuesday.

“We moved the body from Kyebi Hospital to UCC Medical Mortuary yesterday around 9pm,” he said.

According to him, the family will be meeting soon to take a decision on the funeral arrangements.

“Now that we’ve transferred him, we are now going to sit down and plan on what to do,” he stated.

Amakye Dede was about to perform at The Paradise near the Bonsu Junction in the Eastern region last Saturday and had the company of his manager when a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter bus rammed into his vehicle.

His manager, Isaac Yeboah died on the spot. The musician’s bodyguard, who sustained injuries, is still on admission at the 37 Military Hospital.

Amakye was transferred from the Hawa Memorial Hospital in Osiem to the Cardiothoracic Centre of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
