Majority Leader launches campaign to be retained in parliament

The Majority Leader Alban Bagbin says Ghanaians will witness more positive change in their lives in the second term of President Mahama if they retain him in the December elections.

He said in spite of all the challenges which confronted President Mahama in his first term in office he has been able to put the economy on track and ensure infrastructural development across the country.

Speaking at his campaign launch at Nadowli, Mr. Bagbin, who is the NDC parliamentary candidate for Nadowli-Kaleo in Upper West Region called on Ghanaians to vote massively for him and President Mahama to enable them to prosecute their developmental agenda.

Nadowli-Kaleo constituency is one of the strong holds of the ruling NDC.

Mr. Bagbin took over the constituency from Mr Zumakpeh in 1996 and has since been the Member of Parliament for the area.

The constituency has witnessed numerous developments in the areas of water, education, health and agriculture.

Mr. Bagbin served as both Majority and Minority leader in parliament and is seen to have a vast knowledge in parliamentary practice.

The campaign launch attracted large crowd within and outside the region.

Speaker after speaker spoke about the role Mr. Bagbin plays in the development of the NDC, the country’s democracy and the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency.

The Chief of staff Julius Debrah described Mr. Bagbin’s performance as outstanding and remarkable.

Mr. Bagbin for his part said the development Ghanaians have seen in the first term of President Mahama is just a tip of an iceberg.

He said the second term of President Mahama will witness massive development and improvement in their lives.

Other dignitaries who addressed the rally included the Mr. Bagbin’s contender during the primaries Roger Gale.

He called on supporters to disband all groups and rally behind Mr. Bagbin for a resounding victory.
