LMVC threats on EC empty – Kufuor faction
The threats by pro-NPP group, “Let My Vote Count Alliance” (LMVCA), that it will make things difficult for the country’s Electoral Commission (EC) – to carry out its constitutionally mandated undertaking in respect of the upcoming November 7 general election, have been described as empty.
Speaking to The Informer on strict condition of anonymity, a key-member of the former President John Agyekum Kufuor-led Ashanti faction of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), who labeled as sickening, the activities of the group (LMVC), has asked Ghanaians to treat the threats on the EC by it convener, David Asante, with all the contempt it deserved.
David Asante, who has really proven to be a tool for manipulation by the NPP, with his cacophonous calls of voter validation – per the untenable proposed method by the NPP in one of his media engagements, apart from his vitriolic attacks on the commission, also hinted of his group’s preparedness to torment the EC, via its completely immaterial “Baamu Yadda” street demonstration.
Boasting of his group’s evil and dastardly plot against the EC, David Asante, speaking on an Accra-based Asempa FM’s “Ekosii Sen” political talk-show on Monday 18, March 2016, disclosed that they would give Mrs. Charlotte Osei and her outfit a hectic time – for not heeding to the NPP / LMVC’s proposed records validation of registered voters.
