LIVE UPDATES: Ghana vs Egypt (Video)

https://www.facebook.com/sankofaradio/videos/1710355492371521/Already-qualified Egypt will this afternoon meet Ghana in Cape Coast in their last Group E match, having earned their ticket to next year’s Russia finals with one game to spare.

Egypt secured a World Cup berth for the first time since 1990 after defeating Congo 2-1 in Alexandria last month.

This game is thus of no consequence in terms of the qualification process, but Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has declared his intention to use this game as part of the rebuilding process of his team.

The Ghana coach is also mindful of improving the Black Stars position on the periodic FIFA World Rankings, and is determined to ensure there is a culture of winning among his squad and players.

“I have heard people say there is nothing at stake but that is not true,” Appiah told KweséESPN. “Every game from now is a step towards 2019 and I have made that point clear to all the players.”

“There may be nothing at stake against Egypt but we have to win,” he added. “We have to prove to this country that we still deeply care about the national team.”
