KROBO CHIEFS AND QUEEN MOTHERS IN FANTEAKWA SOUTH DECLARES SUPPORT FOR NDC PALIAMENTARY CANDIDATE
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Fanteakwa South Miss Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah on 25th May, 2016 received overwhelming endorsement from the traditional leaders of the Krobo communities in the constituency.
The meeting which took place at the Ehiamankyeni Epic Center was attended by over 200 chiefs and queen mothers of Krobo communities in the Fanteakwa south constituency. The meeting gave the parties the opportunity to dialogue and address issues of common concern .
The Chiefs and queen mothers were very pleased to have one-on-one interaction with the candidate. They applauded her for showing respect to the leaders of the people she aspires to lead.
The issues of poor road network connecting villages was very common among all the chiefs and the queen Mothers that represented their subjects.
Speaking to GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com, the chiefs praised The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Fanteakwa South Miss Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah For the commitment shown so far to their concerns and also enumerated some projects that she did even as a individual yet to occupy the seat. The chiefs lauded Her for her excellent lobby and negotiation skills.
Again they expressed their confidence in her ability to deliver. some were quoted as saying ” All what we want in Fanteakwa South is development in terms of road, potable water, health centres, schools, etc. And She has demonstrated that commitment by helping some communities with Boreholes, Street Lights, Etc. “
They continued that they are not agents of any political party but are ready to work with anyone who is interested in the development of their area. The chiefs made reference to some ethnic comments passed by the Incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency. The MP was quoted as saying” …i will still win if Krobos do not vote for me”. The chiefs see this comment as rather unfortunate and very unpalatable in the political discourse. They call on all candidates and political parties to preach peace and market their policies rather than the unnecessary ethnic comments.
The NDC Deputy Organizer, Hon. Captain Akamba reiterated government’s commitment to ensuring that everybody has access to basic social amentities. He also added that, having being with Abigail for a number of years now, ABIGAIL will not disappoint the good people of Fanteakwa South. She is a committed and dedicated person who is very hard working and a goal getter.
ABIGAIL Mensah assured the chiefs and queen Mothers that, She will not get detracted by anybody because she wants to see Fanteakwa South move from its current developmental stage to a more appreciable level where basic amenities would not be a scarce commodity.
After presenting pieces of crocodile branded machetes and boxes of weedicides to help the chiefs and queen Mothers in their respective farms. She said.” I work for a Cause and Not for an Applause., Fanteakwa south is my constituency and I want to help my people whole-heartedly, I plead for support and unity in bringing my vision to fruition “
