Konkomba Youth Association (KOYA) has heard with shock and dismay the recent clashes between the two Northern brothers (Dagombas and Konkombas) residing in Agbogbloshie, Accra.
We are very much aware that our people from the North are in this area purposely to transact businesses for their up-keep and relatives back home.
It is our conviction that any misunderstanding between these two northern brethren could have been handled and resolved amicably without resorting to violent and destructive means leading to loss of lives. We wish to express our condolences to the bereaved families.
KOYA condemns the act in no certain terms and calls on both parties to remain calm and allow our trusted and reliable security agencies to carry out the necessary investigations to unravel the circumstances leading to such occurrences.
However KOYA sees the act to be purely criminal and therefore appeals to the authorities to do all they can to fish out the perpetrators and have them punished accordingly in order to forestall future occurrences.
Once again KOYA wish to appeal to all Konkombas in Ghana to remain calm and let the issue be handled at that level without spreading to other parts of the country.
Thank you.
