Kofi Adams Calls For Peace Through Political Parties /EC

The National Organizer of the ruling NDC party, Mr. Kofi Adams, has called for a greater collaboration between stakeholders as part of efforts to ensure a transparent, credible, free and fair election in the November polls.

Giving an address at the School of Medical Sciences at University of Cape Coast, at the school’s week-long celebration of Graduates Students Association of Ghana(GRASAG).

The theme of the event was dubbed, “Credible Peaceful Election 2016 — The Role Of Stakeholders.” Mr. Adams acknowledged the roles played by the Electoral Commission, the media, as well as the electorates in the struggle to ensure peaceful election since the inception of 4th Republican constitutional dispensation.

Kofi Adams — as he is also fondly known, urged all stakeholders to shun biase and remain neutral in political affairs; since their actions and inactions has the potential to de-stabilize the rather peaceful democratic environment.

He also urged the EC to constantly engage the political parties through the Inter–Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), to protect and project the integrity of the EC and to help the parties have a better appreciation of issues before, during, and after the election.

Ending, he extolled the virtues of president Mahama as an epitome of peace and has always been committed to ensuring credible polls.
