Kill intruders at NPP headquarters – Amoako Tuffuor

A founder member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has warned security personnel at the party’s headquarters to deal ruthlessly with anyone who attempts to enter the party headquarters with the intention of stealing or destroying party property.
Dr. Amoako Tuffuor says the recent raid at the party’s headquarters shows that the NPP in particular and Ghanaians in general are not safe; the NPP will not sit aloof and allow a repeat of the Monday dawn incident.

“Why should a party’s office be ransacked without doing nothing about it. Those people who stormed the party office have no business there and so I urge all the security to immediately kill anybody they find as intruders whose mission is to steal and destroy properties. They are no different from armed robbers and so they need to be killed,” he declared.

Some individuals reportedly clad in military and police uniforms stormed the Asylum Down national headquarters of the largest opposition party in the early hours of Monday.

According to reports, members of the private security firm guarding the offices were locked up and their phones seized before the ransacking took place. The ‘raiders’ took away files and computer hard drives from about five offices, including that of the National Organiser and Director of Elections.

Meanwhile, eleven people have so far been arrested in connection with the dawn raid.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Tuesday, Dr Amoako Tuffuor, who is also a member of the National Council of the NPP, charged the national security office and the police administration to speed up investigations into the incident and deal with anyone found culpable.

“The army, police and the IGP must come out clean and tell us where from those people who ransacked our party’s office and deal with them if they are found culpable. We must see to the end of this and we need the youth to step in” he urged.

Dr Amoako Tuffuor however accused the NDC government of being behind the raid.
“If those who raided the party’s office were in military uniform, why then will I be wrong if I say the NDC government is also involved,” he stated.
