Kenya’s electoral commission has set October 17 for the re-run of the country’s presidential election that was annulled.

Wafula Chekubati, chair of Kenya’s electoral body, said only Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga will be on the ballot.

Chekubati said setting of the date was in “conformity of the Supreme Court’s decision annulling the presidential election held on 8 August, 2017.”
The electoral commission had declared incumbent Kenyatta as winner of the first presidential election with 54 percent.

But Odinga complained of widespread irregularities and Supreme Court declared the vote “invalid, null and void.”
