Maverick politician Kennedy Agyapong, has warned the Gender Minister to desist from further exchanging words with the NPP Northern Regional Chairman.
The MP for Assin Central says Otiko Djaba should not have responded to Bugri Naabu because she is a Minister of State and should not be seen conducting herself in such an undignified manner.
Daniel Bugri Naabu on May 5, scuttled a meeting being held by Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba for what he described as the Minister’s disrespect for his authority.
According to him, Ms Djaba should have sought his consent because she had no right to organise party women in the region without the knowledge of regional party executives.
Otiko Afisa Djaba did not take kindly to this, she accused Bugri Naabu of extorting money, cows and goats from people with the promise of securing them contracts under the School Feeding Programme.
Speaking on Adom TV morning show, Badwam, Kennedy Agyapong reminded the Gender minister that her actions could cost her the position, but Bugri Naabu cannot be sacked by the President.
“Otiko must take her time, and she shouldn’t have even replied Bugri Naabu because she can be fired by the president anytime, he can’t fire Bugri Naabu unless the Northerners go to vote against him”
