JOHN MAHAMA’S BEAUTIFICAY AS AKUFO-ADDO SINKS IN UGLY LIES

It is now an established fact that President Akufo-Addo, is full of lies and propaganda and has achieved nothing since coming on board. In opposition, he deployed propaganda and lies at a professional level.

Candidate Akufo-Addo lied about President Mahama- led administration to deceive Ghanaians. He was threatened by the many achievements of the Mahama-led administration hence the constant resort to spreading of falsehoods and lies he trumpeted on his campaign platforms.

On December 9 2014, Nana Akufo-Addo lied about the cost of the Kasoa interchange and insisted it has been inflated. He said, he strongly believed that the price of $172 million was inflated by the Mahama government. His party’s ranking member of Parliament on Roads and Transport Committee had to intervene by correcting the obvious misinformation. Being a habitual liar, the advice offered him by the ranking member did not satisfy him.

On October 19, 2015, Nana Akufo-Addo lied about some $10 million spent by government of Mr Mahama to print presidential diaries. That assertion turned out as baseless. Addressing supporters of his party in Amsterdam, he lied that the presidency had issued out the whopping amount of money for printing of diaries to be distributed to members of the ruling party. He was chided for peddling such lies and was brutally exposed by the communication ministry and the presidency but failed to do the honourable thing of apologising for peddling such lies.

Nana Akufo-Addo also lied about the cost of the ridge hospital project. He claimed that the Ridge hospital project was inflated by $142 million and the basis for his assertion was a supposed crown agent report which was vehemently refuted by his close friend and editor-in- chief of the New Crusading Guide Mr Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako. Reacting to Nana’s lies, Mr Baako said ” Nana Addo should have checked his facts before making the cost of Ridge Hospital public, especially when IMANI Ghana has published their research stating the issue of over pricing was above board.”

Nana Akufo Addo lied and engaged in reckless propaganda fuel prices and electricity tariff. He promised to reduce electricity prices and fuel prices. He described the previous administration as insensitive and wicked. According to the then candidate Akufo-Addo, electricity prices were more expensive than rent which was unacceptable and questioned why an oil producing country refused to reduce fuel price.

President Akufo-Addo promised Ghanaians free secondary education. He did not attach conditions to his promise. He promised parents and students that, if elected, every secondary school student was going to enjoy his free secondary education. He disappointed parents whose wards are in second and third years with his “only first years scholarship scheme”. The other shocking aspect of the policy is the fixed three year sponsorship package making it impossible for repeated students to enjoy the facility. The other mind boggling development is the terrible condition in our secondary schools and the complaints by heads of the institutions.

On December 19, 2015, Nana Akufo-Addo lied at an Npp delegates Congress (Sunyani) that all government projects have been awarded to enrich government officials . He provided no proof only to come into government and appoint his cousins and friends into his government. His cousin the Finance Minister, together with the wife and business associates, issued $2.25 billion bond on behalf of the state without following laid down procedure and rules.His daughter recently forced some workers of the creative art industry to vacate their offices in her capacity as one of the directors of the industry, it is alleged people pay between $20,000 and $30,000 to his cousin Gabby before they are granted passage passage to see the President, his wife and daughters are the real procurement directors of the administration. All government contracts are discussed and offered at the residence of the President.
