It comes as the NPP held two press conferences to urge the EC to declare Nana Akufo-Addo the winner of the elections.

The party said Akufo-Addo has established an insurmountable lead over Mahama after the collation of over 80% of the polling stations.

Meanwhile, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, the presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), has commended Akufo-Addo on, according to him winning the election.

“I wish to congratulate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP for winning the 2016 presidential election based on results available to me. The wind of change has blown in his favor. The NPP worked hard for this victory. I accept the decision of the people on behalf of the PPP,” he said.
