John Mahama And Nana Addo in final push for Flagstaff House

President John Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo are making a last-minute dash across some key battle regions as the 2016 presidential race enters the final push.

President Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential nominee, on Friday, stormed the Volta Region, in a bid to whip up enthusiasm following widespread criticism of his administration by chiefs and opinion leaders from the region.

There, he beseeched voters to look at his record in infrastructure development, pointing to the Ho Airport his administration is building for the region.

And Nana Akufo-Addo has been engaging the media in Accra to cover lost grounds following his refusal to appear in a debate organised by the NCCE and GTV.

He rejected claims that he is a tribal bigot, gave detailed explanation of his one-district one-factory policy, one-village-one-dam policy and one million dollars for the 275 constituencies.

President Mahama’s running mate, vice president Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur is canvassing voters in the Western Region, a wing region polls suggest the NDC will win.

While Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, Akufo-Addo’s running mate has pitched camp in the Northern region in a bid to reduce radically the NDC’s victory in the region.

Akufo-Addo will address his final rally on Sunday at the Trade Fair, La, while president Mahama addresses his on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Both candidates will attempt to woo voters in a last minute appeal as to why they are the best choice.
