Highlife musician, Rex Omar, has revealed why he has not made his campaign and endorsement of candidate Mahama loud in the media with a song this year– though he is a musician.
According to the veteran musician who’s also a member of the Celebrities for Mahama group, he has been supporting John Mahama in his own way – only that he has been doing so modestly; because to him, John Mahama is a gentleman who does not require ‘noise’ and needless propaganda to acquire power or maintain it.
Speaking in a video Interview with GhanaPoliticsonline.com , on why he’s not done a campaign song for John Mahama as other musicians have done for the political parties they have endorsed,he said lots of people have done and still doing good music for Mahama so he being a veteran, he thinks there’s not much urgency joining the trend.
“Music is not the only means I endorsed and campaigned for the president last four years and I’m doing so now. I don’t focus my campaign much in the media and through music because there are lots of campaign songs for the president” he asserted.
