Former President John Mahama today (Thursday, February 8, 2018) joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament (MPs) for lunch after his successor delivered the 2018 State of the Nation Address.
The former president enjoyed a bowl of rice and stew with the NDC MPs in Parliament.
The former president who lost the 2016 election to President Akufo-Addo is eyeing a return to the presidency.
He is expected to contest the upcoming NDC presidential primaries. Some of his major opponents are Albag Bagbin, Spio Garbrah, and Joshua Alabi.
However, he is heavily tipped by political pundits to win.
Some have questioned why the Minority did not invite ex-president John Rawlings since he is the founder of the NDC which they all belong to.
Others have argued that this is a confirmation of President Akufo-Addo’s assertion that the Minority in Parliament do not acknowledge the founder of their party Mr Rawlings.
