John Mahama donates GH¢50,000 towards creation of proposed Savannah Region

Former President John Mahama has contributed a total amount of GH¢50,000 towards the creation of the proposed Savanna region.

The cash is distributed to the various districts across the proposed Savanna regional catchment area.

In addition to the GH¢30,000, the member of parliament for Bole -Bamboi, Yussif Ori on behalf of Mahama donated GH¢10,000 to the Bole district referendum campaign team.
The amount was received by the DCE for the area Veronica Alele on behalf of the district and thanked the former President for his support.
Mahama during the public hearings across gonjaland by the commission of enquiry earlier donated an amount of GH¢10,000 to the coordinating committee of the Gonja Traditional Council.
Mahama stands out as one the single highest financial contributors to the Savanna region creation effort.
The Districts which form part of the proposed Savanah Region are Sawla- Tuna- Kalba, Bole, West Gonja, North Gonja, Central Gonja, East Gonja and Kpandaia.

Meanwhile, Mahama is expected to cast his ballot in the referendum for the creation of the proposed Savannah Region in Bole.
