John Dumelo Exposed ” Meet Nana Addo In Secret For favour

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched a scathing attack on actor John Dumelo describing him as an opportunist who goes round seeking favours from politicians.

Communications Director of the Asokwa Constituency of the party, Edmund Kyei, in a telephone interview labeled the ace actor as a “prema-donna” who has lost relevance in the Ghanaian movie industry.

“Dumelo is one of the marauding hooligans who parade themselves as stars to take advantage of desperate people and politicians, but this time around we are not going to allow him to dent the party’s image for no reason,” Mr Kyei furiously asserted.

It is believed some power brokers of the NPP are irked by John Dumelo’s tweet on Friday, which sought to suggest that the party’s flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo would never be elected as president of Ghana.

“I have nothing against Nana Addo, but I only see one person being sworn in come January 2017 and it’s not him,” Dumelo tweeted to his fans. The actor received a storm of criticism from a section of the public prior to the 2012 elections when he openly urged electorates to vote for President John Mahama.

In another vicious attack, the NPP firebrand alleged that Dumelo a few weeks ago visited Nana Akufo-Addo office in Accra, demanding that the party “supports him to mobilize the youth to votes massively for the NPP” in the November polls.

“This is the same guy [Dumelo] who visited the party’s office in Accra to ask for resources to start organizing youth groups for the party so what changed all of a sudden?,” Mr Kyei quizzed angrily.

Mr Kyei, however, stressed that the NPP’s credibility and hard work over the years would help wrestle power from the NDC in November. Attempts to contact Dumlo for his comment proved futile.
