I’ve repented – JB Danquah’s alleged killer
Daniel Asiedu, the suspected murderer of the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, for the Abuakwa North Constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah, says he has repented from his evil ways and has turned over a new leaf.
The self-professed remorseful suspect, said this after his appearance in court on Tuesday, where the Magistrate Court in Accra ordered his transfer from the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), to police custody.
Speaking in the vehicle that was conveying him to the police cells after the court order, Daniel Asiedu indicated that he has changed from his old ways.
“I’ve changed my life, no more bad,” he said.
The suspect, who is facing charges of murder was arraigned after he was arrested and allegedly confessed to stabbing the late MP in his residence which led to his death.
Despite his confessions, there are suggestions there might be accomplices who aided him. But the teenager says he entered the MP’s house to steal but not to kill.
According to him, he had to stab the MP who held him tight during a struggle.
How suspect killed JB Danquah
