Ignore Konadu’s baseless attack on President Mahama and NDC
The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is urging its members to ignore the blatant attack on the party by Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.
The former First Lady and 2012 presidential aspirant of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has said successive Parliament under Presidents John Evans Attah Mills and John Mahama are responsible for some of the worst crimes the nation has ever witnessed.
Speaking at an acclamation ceremony for the Volta Regional Executives of the party, Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings accused the parliamentarians of not helping the state.
“I think the fifth and sixth parliament of the Mills-Mahama NDC regime have virtually supervised some of the most unspeakable crimes that we have seen in this country.
“Unspeakable crimes against our nation in monstrous corruption and the abuse of people’s mandate in reckless abandon…very reckless”, she added.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings said this cannot be allowed to continue because there are rules and regulations that govern the country therefore persons elected into power cannot act or take decisions in a vacuum.
“So long as you’re in a country that has rules and regulations and a constitution that we all have to abide by then you cannot do certain things on your own. You must always consult the people who put you there”.
However a statement signed by the NDC Deputy Secretary, Operations Koku Anyidoho accused Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings of working with the NPP to engage government in a needless banter.
“All comrades are by this Release being asked to please ignore the blatant attack on the National Democratic Congress (NDC), from Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.
“It is common knowledge that she is in cahoots with the fast-sinking NPP and because the Party is under serious pressure, she has decided to attack the NDC so we go into a dog fight with her to create an escape route for NPP,” the statement noted.
