Ignore ‘false’ ministerial appointments – Flagstaff House

The Flagstaff House

Government has asked Ghanaians to disregard a purported new list of ministerial nominees circulating on social media.

Reports making the rounds suggest that the Minister of Finance Seth Terkper has been sacked and replaced with Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Minister of Trade and Industry.

The report further suggested that Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hanna Tetteh has been moved to the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection while Deputy Minister of Power, John Jinapor had been made the substantive minister.

But a press release from the Flagstaff House said all official statements are usually issued via their email or Facebook page.

“Kindly ignore a list of new appointments making the rounds via WhatsApp platforms. The Office of the President has issued no such statement. All official statements are first issued via the official email address and posted on the Flagstaff House Facebook Page.”
