I will not contest Shai-Osudoku says MP

The MP for Shai-Osudoku David Tetteh Asummeng says he will not contest the Constituency Primary again when the party reopens nomination for the Constituency.

Mr. Assumeng said the decision not to vie for the seat is personal, adding that it is also to show respect to the elected Candidate Desmond William Ocloo who lost his life through a motor accident this month.

The Shai-Osudoku seating MP stated this when he took his turn on the Floor of Parliament on Tuesday to debate the State of the Nation Address delivered by President Mahama. He said he was saddened by the death of the elected Candidate.

The elected NDC Candidate for the 2016 election William Ocloo died in an accident on the Juaso road in the Ashanti region when his vehicle collided with a another vehicle.

He contested David Tetteh Asummeng and Dr Kpesa Whyte in the last primaries and won.
