The Presidential candidate of the biggest opposition party NDC, John Dramani Mahama has promised the people of Aflao to give them three new districts that will be carved out of Ketu South municipality when he wins power again.
The flag bearer visit the municipality to monitor the on-going voters registration exercise. In his visit, the former president visits the Aflao Immigration command and one registration center at beat 9 border also in the municipalty.
The former president later visits the paramount chief of Aflao Traditional area Togbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V in his palace.
The paramount chief use the opportunity to ask the president not to forget to give Aflao a district out of Ketu South municipality a plead that had been placed on his table when he was in power .
In the respond to the paramount chief’s request, John Mahama said he won’t only give Aflao a distrct but he will carve out 3 different district out the municipality when voted to power in the 7th December general elections.
Mr. Mahama later said the presence of the military in the area cannot be coincidental because the time the covid-19 was less, that should the appropriate time for the military to be deployed to avoid the virus escalating further.
Moreover, the former president use the opportunity to condemn all the tribal comments about the Voltarians not being Ghanaians. He says no one is more Ghanaian than any other person in the country.
John Mahama use the opportunity to donate some relief items to the paramount chief and his people promising to do more when the opportunity present itself.
