I have forgiven those who insulted me – Woyome

After securing his second consecutive victory against the state, Alfred Agbesi Woyome says he has forgiven all those who verbally abused him in a ¢51million financial scandal.

“Today all those who have insulted me because of false information I have forgiven them,” he told journalists after an Appeal Court upheld a High Court decision that, he committed no crime when government paid him the money as judgement debt in 2010. In 2009, Woyome had gone to court to claim damages for he alleged his contract with goverment was cancelled.

Saved jail time and feeling grateful to God, Woyome used the occasion to tell journalists to believe in God.

“I have only one thing to say. I believe in Lord God almighty…I am encouraging you to believe in your God first and also believe in the court system”.

He told journalists seeking his views on the judgment to read the ruling.

“This judgement is comprehensive, take it and read it. It has everything in it,” a confident Woyome said.

The vindicated NDC financier expressed relief that after four and a half years of court action and media blitz on the scandal, he walks free of any criminal intent.
