The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North on 1st December 2018, donated 5 brand new air conditioners to the Presbyterian hospital at Donkokrom the District Capital of Afram plains North.
Addressing the gathering, the General Manager of the hospital Mr. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi was overwhelmed by the warm reception by the Member of Parliament and her commitment to supporting communities in her constituency to receive quality health services. The General Manager stated that when they called on Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah to help uplift the state of the hospital’s conference room, she didn’t hesitate to support. Mr. Amadu speaking at the event said, the hospital currently has only one medical doctor who attends to the many health issues in the two Districts in the Afram Plains zone so requirements like this in a way attracts ready Medical house officers to come and support in the delivery of quality health.
Mr Amadu in his last statement pleaded with the staffs of the hospital to remember the member of parliament in prayers for her good works towards the development of constituency and most importantly the hospital.
Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah addressing the hospital said the Afram Plains North constituency is in her heart and she is very much concerned about the many health related issues in the constituency. She lamented, that with the recent cattle ranch commissioned by the president without accompanying it with the necessary medical facility leaves much to be desired. She said cattle in any community breeds flies, such as mosquitoes, houseflies and tsetseflies and this can lead to the spread of many diseases in the communities.
She called on hospital staffs to be ready prepared to take care of the families and the children of Afram Plains because the Afram plains North hospital is the only district hospital in the two districts. So she as Member of Parliament will do anything possible within her strength to push the constituency forward. ‘It’s my vision and mission to lobby all the necessary infrastructural facilities be it health centers,roads,schools, water etc for the good people of Afram Plains North constituency.’, she said.
The MP said the NPP government has failed in all the sectors which the health sector is inclusive so we must kicked them out in 2020 to give way for a better government under the NDC.
