The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper-East Region ,HON. ISAAC ADONGO.has made arrangements to donate an undisclosed cash amount and some other items to the regional chief Imam in support of this year’s Eid-Ul-Adha Salla Festival because the regional minister and executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party have abandoned the regional chief Imam on preparations pertaining to this year’s Eid-Ul -Adha celebrations.
It has been an annual practice for some time now that the Regional Minister presents items and cash to the senior Muslim clerics in support of Salla celebrations but partisan and vindictive politics has obviously been replaced our religious rights and norms in this circumstance.
The NPP’s refusal to oblige to the continuity of what has become a religious pacification of the region is due to beliefs and allegations that the chief Imam is a sympathiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
The Mp for Bolga Central Hon Isaac Adongo will this afternoon present a Bull n a Sheep to the regional chief Imam for the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations which comes off on Friday 1 September 2017, he will also use the opportunity to present a cash amount of GHC1000 cedis to the Gumbisi football club Which emerged winners at the last Salla games.
