Ho: Policeman Killed By Armed Robbers

A police officer at the Rapid Deployment Force unit at the Volta regional police command was shot dead on Tuesday morning at Radiance Filling station in Ho.

Constable Emmanuel Nii Atseku who was on night duty was shot by some unidentified armed robbers who attempted to rob the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) filling station.

According to information gathered by Graphic Online’s reporter in Ho, Mary Anane, the police officer was on guard at the filing station when the robbers overpowered him by first hitting him with a cement block and later shot him dead.

The robbers though unsuccessful with their operations escaped with the police man’s weapon.

It is unclear whether Constable Atseku was at the station alone.  His body has since being transferred to the police hospital morgue in Accra.
