HighLife will not die – Bisa K’dei (Video)

Ghanaian highlife artiste Bisa K’dei has vehemently opposed claims that High- life music is dead because he believes the genre is still alive.

Speaking at the launch of his 3rd album titled “High- life Konnect”, he said it is people’s perception that High life is dead but that is actually not the case.

Attractivemustapha.com reports that Bisa K’dei was emphatic that if High-life was really dead, veteran musicians life Rex Omar’s songs will not still be enjoying airplay.

“People Still call me for shows because of High-life music I did in the past so High-life is not dead. If the genre is dead no one will call me for a show.

I think if we change the mentality that High-life is dead we can push it to the very peak that we all desire.”

He added that the music industry is disorganized and that when Musicians are asked the genre of music they do it becomes difficult to tell.

“We can never compete with the whites on what they do so it is better we all help push ours to the peak; that’s the best way we can compete with them” he added .
