Hearts of Oak fan dies after ‘Super Clash’ defeat

A staunch Accra. Hearts of Oak supporter Hudu Yahaya aka Alhaji Car Owner of Nima Alaska
Chapter 3 has been pronounced dead at the Ridge Hospital in Accra on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after his sides shocking 0-1 defeat to sworn rivals Asante Kotoko.

The supporter is believed to have collapsed during the course of the fierce encounter at the Accra Sports stadium and was taken to the Ridge Hospital where doctors failed to resuscitate him and was pronounced dead on Tuesday morning.

Former Hearts of Oak management member Aziz Haruna Futah confirming the unfortunate incident to GazzettaGhana said the fan is a native of Nima Alaska in Accra who until his
demise, had been a staunch supporter of the club for all his life.
“Yes it is true that one of our members by
name Alhaji Car owner has been pronounced
dead tis morning at the Ridge Hospital in
“He collapsed during the game and was rushed to the Hospital where he died”.
A miskick by Hearts of Oak goalkeeper
Abdoulaye Soulama gave Kumasi Asante Kotoko a 1-0 win over their fiercest rivals in Accra on Monday.
The fan will be buried at 2pm on Tuesday
afternoon according to Islamic customs.
