GRIDCo Repair Faulty 330kV Transmission Line

The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) is currently working on the 330kV transmission line that developed a fault resulting in a partial system collapse on Thursday January 21, 2016 at about 5:20am.

In the course of these repairs the system experienced a challenge leading to some parts of the country going off at about midday today 25th January 2016.

Engineers of GRIDCo have however, isolated the fault and begun restoring power to the affected areas.

These were in a statement issued by the Communication Ministry and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC).

“We Apologise for any inconvenience caused.” the statement concluded.
