Govt To Expand Ghana Gas Plant To Process Additional Raw Gas

Plans are underway to increase the present 150 million standard cubic feet per-day processing capacity of the Ghana Gas Processing Plant at Atuabo to position the Plant to handle the additional gas that may come in from the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme, TEN oil project.

A dedicated Gas Receiving Plant is currently under construction at Sanzule in the Western region to receive the estimated one hundred and 80 million standard cubic feet of gas from the ENI Project.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com

The Minister for Petroleum and MP for Ellembele Emmanuel Amarh Kofi-Buah stated this when members of the Parliamentary Press Corps visited the shut-down Atuabo Gas processing Plant in the Western region.

The Processing Plant has been shut-down following current maintenance works on the FPSO.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com

The Minister also spoke about some major decisions by government to enhance power generation.

Mr. Amarh-Kofi Buah also touched on the GNPC-Ghana Gas merger process.
