Govt equips Ministry of Fisheries with information vans

In line with NDC manifesto promise for development in the fisheries sector. Page 34

Govt through the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (MOFAD), has taken delivery of five multi-purpose information vans, which cost 88,000 dollars per each, in Accra, yesterday.

The vans are equipped with information gadgets, procured by government. the gadgets include, a television set, DVD recorder, two PA systems, video camera, projectors and stands, screen, speakers, computers generators and a monitor.

Receiving the keys to the vehicles, Ms Sherry Ayittey, the sector minister, said the vans were procured to help sensitise the fisher folks along fishing communities to laws and policies of the fishing industry, for sustainable development.
