Government committed to making education accessible – VEEP

VEEP Amissah-Arthur addressing the school pupil, parents and teachers of his former school

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has reiterated government’s resolve to make education accessible and of quality through prudent policies and programmes.

He has therefore charged parents not to shirk their responsibility of getting involved in the education of their children.

Speaking at the 65th Anniversary Speech and Prize-Giving Day of Aboom Methodist “B” Basic School in Cape Coast, Vice President Amissah-Arthur tasked parents to collaborate with school authorities in order to get the best of education for their children.

Communities must also play an oversight role to ensure that pupils and students spend quality time in school instead of abandoning the classrooms to roam in town.
