At the Golden Movie Awards (Photos)

the Kempinski Hotel Accra last Saturday with Nana Obiri Yeboah’s ‘Cursed Ones’ winning the top honours including Overall Best Film, Best Director and Best Art Direction.

The movie also won the Supporting Actress (Drama) nod for Ama .K. Abebrese.

The ceremony which was attended by movie makers and stars from Ghana and Nigeria saw Ghana sweeping 23 awards while Nigeria took home six.

Nigeria’s six awards on the night included Golden Sound Editor;Puis Fakoke Fifty, Golden Indigenous; Dara, Golden Short Film;Femi Adebayo for Alima, Golden Editor;Matthew Bate for Fifty, Golden Story (Drama); Afe Olumowe for Anniversary and Golden Actor (Drama); Gideon Okeke for Gbomogbomo Express.

Yvonne Okoro’s Ghana Must Go won four awards including Golden Supporting Actress (Comedy) for Doris Sackitey, Golden Actress (Comedy) and Golden Story (Comedy) for Yvonne Okoro and Golden Supporting Actor (Comedy) for Kofi Adjorlolo.
