GJA congratulates media on coverage of 2016 election

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), has congratulated media practitioners across the country on what it describes as their invaluable contribution and indispensable role in putting Ghana firmly on the path of democratic consolidation.

A statement signed by the President of GJA, Affail Monney said another electoral cycle has ended successfully and peacefully by the grace of God.

It said resource persons, discussants, student journalists and volunteers also deserve special mention in the success story.

The statement said the reportorial skills, rhetorical dexterity, analytical acumen, innovative surge and editorial craftsmanship showcased by the Ghanaian media make all exceedingly proud in the eyes of readers, listeners, viewers, international observers and even critics of Journalists.

The statement said history holds a unique place for the present generation of editors, reporters and their media houses for their extraordinary passion, inestimable sacrifice and manifest addiction to excel.

The GJA particularly commends all media houses for their distinctive coverage of the election.
