Ghana To Experience Partial Eclipse Of The Sun On September 1

On Thursday, September 1, 2016 history will once again be made as Ghana experiences another partial eclipse of the sun from 6:13am to 9am.

At about 7:20am, the moon’s image will pass off the sun’s face. This will take about an hour and half.

Partial Solar Eclipses happen when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth, but they don’t align in a perfectly straight line. Because of this, the Moon partially covers the Sun’s disc.

Motorists are advised that at 7:20am, they may have to switch on their hazard or packing light for a minute or two during the darkened sky.
All are advised to please watch the moon and sun with solar shade to protect your eyes from the negative effects of the rays.
