Ghana ranked 5th democracy in Africa

President John Mahama has announced that Ghana has officially been ranked as the fifth democracy in Africa, at the ongoing anti-corruption summit in London.

The feat according to the President came after Ghana was ranked the 53rd in the 2015 prestigious Democracy Index.

Ghana jumped 15 places from the 2014 ranking. Ghanapoliticsonline.com

In a facebook post, President Mahama, said the government will continue to improve democratic practices in Ghana. He said the significant leap offers inspiration and hope.

According to President Mahama hard work, vision and dedication of the citizenry earned it a well-deserved place in the community of nations.

He therefore urged all to continue the hard work and keep moving forward and upwards.
