GFA to launch 2016 Super Cup on Wednesday

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will launch the 2016 Super Cup between Premier League sides AshantiGold and Medeama on Wednesday.

The match will be played at the Accra Sport Stadium on Sunday.

League champions AshGold will also use the match to prepare for their CAF Champions League first round qualifier against Algerian side MO Bejaia.

Medeama won last season’s Ghana FA Cup after beating Asante Kotoko in a nail-biting final.

The Super Cup ushers in the new season, which will kick off on 20 February.
