I gave your investments to Nana Addo for his 2012 campaign-MP

customers and investors of the Fanteakwa Rural Bank in the Eastern Region has a shock of their lives when the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Hon Kwabena Amankwa Asiamah Said he loaned their investments and deposits to the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nanan Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa North Constituency reportedly pleaded with the customers to be patients with the bank as the only way for them to get their investments and deposits is for the NPP to win power in the 2016 elections.

Thousands of customers of the bank who transact business since the inception of the bank were disappointed moment after the 2012 elections when they were told there was no money anytime they visit the bank to either withdraw or transact business.
The Bank has branches spread across several districts and constituencies in the Eastern and all the customers of the various branches are facing similar problem.
The bank, which was established in the year 2004 was doing well, according to some of the customers until after the 2012 elections when the MP allegedly loan the money to the opposition leader, Nana Akuffo-Addo.
Most of the customers have between five hundred Ghana cedis (GHS500.00) to twenty-seven thousand Ghana cedis (GHS27, 000.00) at the bank.
A customer told Ghana Breaking News that few months ago; the Anyinam Branch decided to embark on a demonstration against the Hon Amankwa Asiamah for the bank’s inability to refund their deposits and investments.
The Anyinam branch alone owes and amount of four hundred and ninety-five thousand, seven hundred and eighty-one point eighty-three Ghana cedis (GHS495,781.83.00)
Mark Osafo Agyapong explained that he has ten thousand Ghana cedis (GHS10,000.00) at the bank but several efforts to withdraw the money have not been fruitful and so decided to join the demonstration.
In the course of the planning, the customers told the paper that they applied for police permit to enable demonstrate without breaking the laws.
Mr. Osafo Agyapong said when they presented the notification letter to the police, the police called the MP to notify him of the intentions of the customers to demonstrate against him.
He said the MP, sensing danger, quickly invited all the customers for a meeting over the issue, adding, during the meeting, the MP was on his knees urging them to exercise patients as their monies would be paid to them in due course.
Mr. Osafo Agyapong added that even though the pleas of the MP were not accepted by the costumers, they did not demonstrate as they planned.
He said after the meeting at Anyinam, the MP called some of the costumers who he presume are NPP members and further urged them to be calm because if they push, Nana Akuffo-Addo would be disgraced.
This was because, he allegedly borrowed their monies and investments to Nana Akuffo-Addo for his 2012 campaign and since then, he has not paid.
He said the MP told them that as it stands, the only way to retrieve their monies is to be calm for Nana Akuffo-Addo to win power in the 2016 elections.
This is a similar one that occurred in the Brong Ahafo region in which thousands of customers were dupped by various micro finance companies
