Former President Mahama mourns Boampong, Alhaji Hearts

Former President John Mahama has commiserated with the family of “friend” Alhaji Suleiman Braimah, who died on Wednesday.

Mr Suleiman Braimah who was also known in Public life as Alhaji Hearts died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, where he was on admission.

The former President in a facebook post, also sent his condolence to the bereaved family of former Member of Parliament for Bia constituency Michael Boampong, who died on Monday at the 37 Military Hospital,

Mr Mahama’s post read:’ “Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee”.’
‘“From Him we came and to Him we shall return”.’
‘My condolences to families of former MP Michael Boampong and friend Alhaji Suleiman Braimah aka Alhaji Hearts.’

Mr Suleiman Braimah’s unflinching support for the Phobians earned him the alias “Alhaji Hearts”.

He was buried on on Thursday morning in accordance to Islamic traditions.

Unlike Mr Suleiman Braimah, Michael Boampong will be buried at later date as the family is yet to confirm his burial arrangement.

The late Boampong was a Member of Parliament for the Bia West Constituency from the year 2001 to 2016.
