Finance Minister set to present interim budget for 2017

Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper is expected to present the 2017 1st quarter budget Thursday (October 20)

The Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper, is expected to present to Parliament the Expenditure in Advance of Appropriation next Thursday October 20.

The Deputy Majority Leader, Alfred Agbesi made this known when he presented the business statement of the House for next week.

The Expenditure in Advance of Appropriation will cover the budget of Government from January to March 2017.

Governments of the Fourth Republic in an election year have been presenting estimates for only the first quarter of the ensuing year.

The next government then presents the budget for the rest of the year.

Whilst in the House, the Minister will also present the estimates of the revenues and expenditure of the government for the 2017 financial year
