Federation of Ghanaians Living In the UK Congratulates President Mahama, NCGU & NPP Demonstrators

President Mahama’s participation in the Anticorruption Summit has certainly pushed Ghana notches higher among the global community of nations. It is refreshing to note that Ghana’s pedigree in the fight against corruption as noted by the Transparency International has been acknowledged by the international community.

But Ghana demonstrated something more than Anticorruption credentials in London.

The National Council of Ghanaian Unions (NCGU) together with the Ghana High Commission organized Ghanaians from all walks of life in the United Kingdom to converge and listen to the president.

This included the NPP Demonstrators who had earlier threatened to boycott the Accounting to the People Forum. It was refreshing to see them succumb to wise counsel and the charm of President Mahama as they reluctantly laid down their placards to drink from the president’s fountain of wisdom.

Once again Ghana won. NPP Demonstrators were not successful but they absorbed wisdom from President Mahama.

Let us (home or abroad) continue to work hard to transform our dear nation- Ghana. We shall all win when Ghana wins.

(Signed)
Kwabena Duku
President, Federation of Ghanaians Living in the United Kingdom
