President John Mahama, has described the late NPP stalwart, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey as a strong voice of reason.
He said when the political atmosphere was heated up, Jake was one of the few who would douse the fire rather than stoke it.
President Mahama, said this when the family of the late Jake Obetsebi Lamptey called on him at Flagstaff house to officially announce his death and burial.
Before his death, Jake was the immediate past chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP.
The President said government will be ably represented at the funeral.
The late Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, will be laid to rest on the 22nd of this month after a burial service at the forecourt of the State House.
There will be a pre- burial service at the Ridge Church on the 21st of April.
