The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission in Ghana has described as satisfactory, the performance of Ghana in its third review of the 918 million dollar extended credit facility to the country.
According to the Mission, Ghana has attained some positive strides after the last review, citing the tightening of monetary policy which has led to stability in the local currency.
The IMF Mission Chief, Joel Toujas Bernate said despite this achievement, Ghana needs more fiscal consolidation especially as the country goes to the polls this year.
