EC to hold Abetifi by-election in July

The Electoral Commission will hold Parliamentary by-election for Abetifi on 19th of July.

This follows the death of the MP, Peter Wiafe Pepera.

Nominations for the election will take place on Tuesday, the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd of June, at the District Office of the Commission at Abetifi in the Eastern Region from 9am to 12noon and 2pm to 5pm on both days.

A statement signed by Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Amadu Sulley, said nomination forms may be obtained from the District or the Regional Office of the Commission at Koforidua.

Candidates for the election shall provide two recent photographs (bust) with red background, showing the full face and both ears.

The filing fee for the election is GH¢1,000.00
