EC to comply with directive to delete names of NHIS registrants

The Assistant Head of Communications of the Electoral Commission (EC), Yussif Alhassan Ayuba, says the Commission will abide by the ruling of the Supreme Court by taking steps to delete names of all those who have registered with NHIS cards.

He said voters who registered with NHIS cards should come forward for their names to be deleted and then given the opportunity to re-register.

Speaking on our news and current affairs programme,”Behind the News,” Mr. Ayuba said he is optimistic the directive will not disrupt the time table of the EC.
