EC begins receiving applications for media accreditation in December polls

The Electoral Commission will from Monday October 31, to Monday November 7, 2016, accept applications from media houses who are interested in observing the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

All media houses who wish to observe the election are requested to submit names and other personal details in the prescribed format to the Commission by close of day Monday, November 7, 2016.

In a statement, the EC says all requests for accreditation should be sent through the Regional representatives of the Ghana Journalists Association and then forwarded to the Communications Unit of the Electoral Commission or by email at: mediaoffice@ec.gov.gh.

EC says accreditation tags will be given to only those who have formally applied.

It says any request submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
