Don’t Relate Power Problems To NDC – Ade Coker

Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker has asked Ghanaians especially members of the opposition parties to stop relating the electricity disorders to the current government, because it has been in existence for long.

According to him, this government has performed tremendously over the years concerning electricity issues. He said the NDC government is one of the best governments when it comes to solving electricity problems in this country.

He confirmed that even though “Government owes the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) huge sums of money, it is preparing itself to pay off those debts that were on the greater part incurred by previous governments.”

“It takes a collective goal for a country to develop, but in Ghana such an act is not practiced because some opposition parties would not side with the ruling government over anything, not even those that have been approved by parliament. Frankly, this kind of mentality is killing us,” he told UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ host, Lawyer Tweneboah Kodua.

He added that, Ghanaians should bear in mind that President John Dramani Mahama is not happy with the electricity tariff challenges, therefore he would do his best to save his people.

“I see Ghana to be an interesting place when opposition parties are seen doing the same things they criticized the party in power for when elected into office,” he said.
